Our construction procedures are unique to the construction industry. Every structure has to built on a strong foundation, and the walls on-top of the foundation will determine the overall strength of the envelope of the structure. 

Selur Designs employs the use of "Arxx" ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) exterior walls with steel stud, joist and roof framing. By doing so, we a capable of providing the client with a far superior residence with exterior walls that have the capability to withstand winds up to 165 mph, has an R-22 insulation value thanks to having a solid concrete core (we generally design all projects with a 6" core) and 2.5" interior and exterior ridged insulation forms, that also provide phenomenal exterior attenuation and security. We then frame all interior walls , floor joist and ceiling rafters with light gauge steel framing, reducing the amount of wood products, thus adding more safety features, by lessening the ability for fire to spread through out the structure. 

As for increased energy savings, all projects are powered by the "Tesla" solar roof system that employs roof tiles that resemble slate, as well as rain water catchment systems that can be used for either potable or irrigation purposes. 

Through this design process the home owner can expect to save on average 50-60% in energy every year, Using "Arxx" allows for superior insulating values, decreasing air infiltration, improves noise attenuation, personal security and produces comfortable temperatures year round.
